While the game is relatively one-dimensional, the development team over at Sigma has perfected all of the basic mechanics and controls for this genre. The first thing that you are going to notice about Alien Shooter 2 is the isometric graphics. While isometric graphics are no longer as popular, this game has mastered that viewpoint. The primary purpose of Alien Shooter 2 is to clear out the aliens and solve some basic puzzles in each stage. The development team claims that as many as 10,000 aliens are on every single map and 100 aliens can be on your screen at once. Even with all of that chaos, this game is still very smooth.

Another thing that players are going to notice is just how much you can interact with the world around you. Almost every single room in the game has multiple effects ranging from emergency lights to noxious gasses. There are also unique weather effects, and those are going to have a big impact on your movement speed and what weapons you can use. Traps are a major part of the game as well, and blowing up the wrong canister or pulling the wrong switch could result in quite a bit of damage.

In addition to outfitting your character with unique weapons and pieces of armor, you will also have to master a few different vehicles, including mech suits, motorcycles, and tanks. Properly managing all of those vehicles is going to be vital to your success as you encounter larger and deadlier enemies. Certain enemies are going to be very susceptible to specific classes of weapons and vehicles, and that adds a strategic layer to his game. Once you have mastered the campaign, you can then hop online and mow down aliens with friends in the co-op mode.
